I like turtles. I mentioned this before, in reference to the pretty turtle logo on Honu gram bags.
I absolutely love Space Turtles.
This preroll was a treat! I almost didn't smoke this. My wife stopped in while I was budtending and said she needed something for stress and a headache, my kids were apparently being extra-personality that day. First, I offered to take her out to eat at Sabra's Place - which has amazing barfood like awesome crisp-fried gyoza and fantastic burgers - and that helped I think. Date night excitement to the rescue! She also got this pre-rolled Space Turtle, something I'd never had but was recommended for stress headaches.
We had a blast in the retro barcade - we were the only two people there at like 6 PM on a Monday. I came to drink a couple beers and enjoy food, also 3 kids and jobs, you know? Apparently I had just missed out on a Pin-up contest over the weekend, and Tuesday is something or other night. Just as well - the tangerine hefeweissen was deliciously fruity and was great with the fried foods. Acids complemented the greasy food just right.
This is a pot review site, not a barcade review site! When we got home, my wife said "Hey our date's not over!" and pulled the Space Turtle out of her purse. Amazing!
The smell on it is a slightly musky sweet and it carried over on the taste. This had great mouthfeel and expansion, the sweetness with so many light apple and pear and herbal flavors reminded me a whole lot of Honu's other awesome strain, Cookie Monster which remains the only pre-rolled I've bought twice.
The high was great. We got giggley and spacey. Our date ended with us chilling in the backyard, looking up at the gathering stars. It was quiet, and it was the first time in a week or so since we've had a moment like this together. This is our new home, in Washington! and we hung out, enjoying the view of the pine-covered hills and the bright moon, contemplating our next great big steps together.
