Twisted Sisters Gardens produces quite a few really excellent strains of marijuana. They've even got an Afghani that closes in on 28% TTL. Frankly, most of their flower is not the most beautiful looking flower around. Generally their bud doesn't rain crystals or have crazy color hairs, and much of it is pretty dark green and lots of umber and brown hues in the shades. The primary nug I got had a section missing from it that looked like a bad spot was trimmed out while the plant was growing. However, it's still pretty great marijuana.
The smell off this was subtle. It was slightly dry and somewhat dusty. There was the memory of spices and a underneath that a strange tartness.
The flower broke up beautifully, it just crumbled completely, and the bud itself was pretty dry. Once you break it down, the smell increases of course, but it's still just a hint of a smell. Very quiet.
Smoke on this Widow phenotype is pretty interesting - it tastes of dry grasses and spices but is not at all spicy. It's like marjoram, and cinnamon, and nutmeg, and pepper, and thyme, but like it was a two-year old jar of Dollar Store ground spices. There was no tang to this and there was almost no core 'marijuana flavor' to this. Just a mellow, soft spice-without-spiciness.
The best part about this marijuana is the high. It is incredibly mellow, very calming and it slowed me down a bit. This is great wake and bake weed as well. After the calm, mellow slow, while I sipped my coffee, I noticed the sativa parentage coming through and I got a surprising uplifting surge near the end that carried me throughout the long legs of this delicious pot.
