The little jar drew me to this product, I'm not going to lie. I love jars, boxes, all sorts of containers and I have been collecting bottles and jars for as long as I can remember. Then I read the label the label - 100% indica, you say? Good this is Northern. What also drew me was listed terpenes. I'm not entirely sure on the terpenes labeling - I do know that most if not all testing facilities include this information with batch analysis. It's good to see it listed, and the 8.1mg per gram a relatively heavy terpene count.
The smell on this was salty on the front. The center of the smell was very fresh growing things earthy. I'm not sure I've ever encountered this level of saltiness on the smell of marijuana. There's a bitter aftersmell for a moment.
Hairs are everywhere. They're gorgeous pale orange hairs, and every one of them is encrusted with beautiful jewel-like trichromes. Every shot I took was hairy. The bud is likewise covered in tight crystals. This marijuana crumbled nicely and when it broke down it released more of these salty, earthy smells.
On the inhale, it's bitter up front but almost immediately smooths out. It's a quiet fruity on the exhale - like the inside of an old fruit basket.
The high was almost immediate, and I'd expect that somewhat from such a high THCA content. This was 100% indica. There was significant fogginess in the mind, and my body was relaxed as could be. I was stuck immediately after smoking this. I sat down on the couch and didn't leave for 4 hours. Afterward, I went to bed and woke up incredibly rested and without any of my normal morning pains.
I'll definitely be checking out more Blue Roots marijuana. This definitely lived up to the packaging's claims: 100% indica. It's a strong medicinal high.
