I will admit my experience with concentrates is still limited, but this past two weeks I have been exploring the hell out of concentrated marijuana and toiling to expand my literacy of concentrates. This, so far, has been the most unique concentrate experience, and my first one with Supercritical CO2 extraction.
To maximize the enjoyment of One Love in the Raw, we were smoking bowls of One Love flower in between dabs.
Actually, I'm pretty proud of myself for getting this far without pointing out how this concentrate looks like it's bismuth crystals or some alien's egg. This stuff looks amazing and is remarkably unique. The color is startling. I had no idea that marijuana could look like this, and I'm glad it does.
You can see that one side or layer of these nuggets is a purple with some grey - it seemed more grey in the lighter lavender areas to the naked eye than it is in this picture. The other side is this rich gold and amber in the lowest parts. From the pic on my round glass dabber (that's 1cm diameter by the way), you can see what it looks like from the other angle. The amber is clear and sexy with a hint of the purple coming through.
Texture on this concentrate is pretty unique. It feels semi-metallic when you interact with it, that may just be from the color. There's serious firmness to this. Once the larger pieces were broken apart with a very sharp pointed tool, it was easier to get a more wax-like crumble but only from the edges. This is the type of consistency that it will bounce like a pebble if dropped.
It heats up well on a warm or screaming hot nail. We smoked this warm off of glass and quartz, hot off of quartz only. There was obviously more flavor from the warm nail, but the high was significantly more intense from the hot nail.
The smoke on this is just as startling as the colors! It's very assertive smoke and you can feel the edges on the inhale. The flavor is incredibly herbal, very condensed grassy spice and sharpness. Overall, the smoke feels exactly as rough and sharp as this feels. It was hard to hold in for very long, and after my nasal exhale there was a specifically peppery sting to the inner nasal cavity for around a full minute.
The high was sativa. This was just fantastic. Exactly like the flower, it has a sharp, clear sativa lift. I felt awake and attentive after this dab. One Love in the Raw is absolutely a sharp 'wake-up and be productive' dab. The sharpest of the high had decent legs, 15-20 minutes and the remaining excellent sativa effects lasted for quite a while. I'd call this the longest legs of any concentrate I've had.
