This fantastic indica was from the Marijuana Encyclopedia Episode 7 when Ryan Galford, COO of Rootworx, brought over a bunch of pot that was bought at North Bay Marijuana. This was leftover. I smoked the BHO processed from this same strain last month.

The smell on this is incredibly pungent, massively fruit. The texture of the flower is great, perfectly cured. When cracked, this bud reeks of sweet fruity berry. It breaks down into an excellent flaky texture, these red hairs stay firm and hold up within the bowl.

On the inhale is a crisp green, deeply vegetative flavor. Immediately as the smoke hits the back palate, it switched. This became legitimate blackberry flavor - one of the best flavor matches I've had to date, in legal marijuana. There's sweetness, and fruity berry, with rich syrupy sweetness. On the exhale there's a nice tart finish.

The high onset almost immediately on the exhale. It was very relaxing, with a calmness that overtook my extremities and then moved into my core. My neck and back was loosened, and I felt overall calm. The end of this was me falling asleep and resting with great dreams.

Overall, this was super potent, delicious, and relaxing. This met all the best expectations I had, and then some. This strain puts me to sleep.

  1. Is this Nirvana's Blackberry or another seed bank?

  2. ALP! I haven't heard from you in some time. Glad to see you're still visiting!

I reached out to Ryan Galford and he'll either come post the answer or let me know so I can answer here. Offhand, I believe it is not Nirvana's.

PS - I'd love to hear what you think about the newest iterations of the Marijuana Encyclopedia and 10 Minute Strain Review. Hit me up or leave a comment!

  3. Ryan here....... It's Black Domino x Nirvana Rasberry cough. The Seedbank was Sativa seeds.

    1. Thanks so much for the answer Ryan! It's amazing - that's some serious hybrid and knowing that I can say for sure those Domino roots shine through in the variety of syrupy berrys.

    2. Hey, thanks for looking into that. Definitely the same genetics as what I have smoked - according to Nirvana's site. Normally, our experiences of strains are pretty consistent, but we diverge widely here, which prompted the question. Blackberry is one of my faves for daytime 'try and stay awake and on task' so your experience was different.

Been visiting consistently - but as the days lengthen I spend less time on line and more time with the large number of gardening/horticultural chores this time of year. I am an avid gardener/plant nerd: fruits, veggies, greenhouse - way too much to do. Enjoying the focus on Green Vault - we just had their Dirty Girl and looking forward to more. In fact, Dirty Girl fueled the long overdue task of pruning a plum tree. Thanks Green Vault!

    3. Awesome to hear back from you, glad to know you're enjoying! We're working on getting a robust garden going for this year, it requires a fair bit of terraforming and hard work. That Dirty Girl is for real upbeat, right? can't stop talking about it!
